FOR BADLY SOILED, OILED OR COATED TEAK:
1. Wear protective gloves. Apply Snappy™ Teak-Nu™ Formula No. 1 directly to wet deck. Use medium bristle brush to spread evenly across area to be treated. When the treated area darkens to a uniform dark brown, use coarse bristle brush to scrub lightly. Avoid contact with painted or varnished surfaces. Rinse brushes after use.
2. Next, use bristle brush to spread Snappy™ Teak-Nu™ Formula No. 2 uniformly over treated area, then use coarse bristle brush to loosen and remove dirt. The treated area will lighten to a golden brown. Rinse treated area thoroughly with water. When the treated area is completely dry, the deck will look like it has been freshly sanded.
FOR LIGHTLY SOILED TEAK:
1. Wear protective gloves. Use water to dilute Snappy™ Teak-Nu™ Formula No. 1 to an approximately 50% solution. Use medium or soft bristle brush to spread evenly over area to be treated. When the treated area darkens to a uniform dark brown, use medium or soft bristle brush to scrub lightly. Avoid contact with painted or varnished surfaces. Rinse brush thoroughly after use.
2. Next, use water to dilute Snappy™ Teak-Nu™ Formula No. 2 to an approximately 50% solution, then use medium to soft bristle brush to spread uniformly over treated area. Use medium to soft bristle brush, scrubbing lightly to attain a uniform light color. Rinse treated area thoroughly.
When the treated area is completely dry, the deck will look like it has been freshly sanded.
Immediately rinse off any drips, spills or splatters of Snappy™ Teak-Nu™ Formula No. 1 on painted or varnished surfaces, aluminum, fiberglass or any surface other than teak.
Snappy™ Teak-Nu™ Formula No. 1 may damage paint or varnish if not immediately removed. Rinse brushes after each use.
To help avoid drips, spills or splatter onto painted or varnished surfaces adjacent to teak being treated, apply Snappy™ Teak-Nu™ Formula No. 1 with a paint brush.
Spray a mist of water on any areas which have dried before applying Snappy™ Teak-Nu™ Formula No. 2.
Snappy™ Teak-Nu™ Formulas Nos. 1 and 2 can be used on bare mahogany before refinishing to remove discolorations without bleaching the wood.
